Llyods PPI

I have tried to reclaim mis sold ppi myself from llyods with no success. Even tried Finacial ombudsman, Last month I saw the news that llyods has been fined over ppi. Iam just wondering is it worth trying again?

You only get one bite of the cherry. You complained and were rejected. The FOS rejected you. Thats it unless you want to try the courts. Although if the FOS rejected you, then its unlikely courts would succeed.

You should also consider that Llloyds may have lied in their response to you and in their submissions to the Ombudsman given that they were fined just over a month ago for 'mishandling' PPI claims.
If your claim was one of those where they bent the rules it should be re-opened. Contact Lloyds and ask the question if you fall into the review population0 -

Very unlikely - Generally speaking businesses will want to be on very firm ground if FOS is involved because it has what amounts to a hotline to the FCA.given that they were fined just over a month ago for 'mishandling' PPI claims.

OP go back to Lloyds in the first instance and explain that you think you may fall into the population that has been unfairly reviewed and incorrect information may have been provided to the FOS adjudicator.
The idea that FOS complaints were handled 'better' holds no great weight given the number that they lose. An adjudicator can only make a decision based on the information provided and if this is flawed then they too can arrive at the wrong decision.
A neighbour of mine spent 3 years fighting Lloyds and was initially rejected with a claim for his mothers estate and rejected by a FOS adjudicator until we discovered that Lloyds had taken a policy on her life and this had paid out to cover the loans she had taken, so I have no confidence in the quality of their reviews. You have nothing to lose by writing another letter0 -

My understanding is that those complainants who went to FOS do not fall into the review population because FOS has already reviewed it.You have nothing to lose by writing another letter0 -
Bottom line here if your complaint falls into a population which there are concerns about, it will be re-reviewed and you will be advised if the outcome differs. If not then disputing the decision again is unlikely to get you anywhere, especially since it has already been reviewed by the independent Ombudsman.0
