Cottage Cheese

I have been buying plain low fat cottage cheese for years mainly from Aldi and Lidl, but recently I have noticed that the taste is much sweeter than it used to be and it shouldn't taste sweet. I know you shouldn't, but to make it more palatable, I have been adding salt and pepper to enjoy eating it again. Whny do they have to use so much sugar? It doesn't look a lot on the ingredients, but it has ruined the taste for me.

Low fat stuff usually has more sugar to keep the taste. Try the full fat version and it may taste better.0

Low fat products they use synthetic sweeter, which does taste really sweet compared to say stuff with sugar. Perhaps the factory where both these are made have changed to a different sweeter which you dislike. So you might have to try a different supermarket brand instead.
I thought Cottage Cheese was always low fat???0 -
I hate the low fat mayo for the same reason...far too sweet, so I stick to the full fat version which does nothing for my waistline

I bought some low fat Chedder cheese - one taste was enough. It was gross! The birds like it.0

It might be better to use the full fat version but in smaller quantities0
