MOT emissions test results

I took my classic mini for an MOT today, although it had only done 100 miles since he last tested it he failed it, on near side main beam aiming low, fog light not working and emissions, said it would cost £60 to fix it. My question is if a car fails the MOT on the emissions do they have to issue you the results with the failure certificate as they do when it passes.

I could be wrong but i believe they are not any obligation to provide the results at all, one garage i use always provide them the other, as far as i can see has no printer connected to the emissions tester
  • If your classic car is very old, then it doesn't actually go on the analyser.

The tester just does a visual assessment, for "excessive smoke".
