Caster sugar is more gentle than granulated :D

Boiling the cocoon/having to remove a dead transmorphing caterpillar sounds dreadful!

Your pore size is genetic unfortunately. A good primer may help disguise them (reviews on the makeupalley website are helpful).

I've tried various things for pores and find that a lot either don't work or cause an allergic reaction. Cashewnut mentioned sugar but it's too rough and leaves the skin very sore looking. I don't mind trying odd things to see if they work - for example I can't use soap on my face normally. Just dries it out. Tried everything from Simple to Pears to Dr Bronners. All the same. But someone on here mentioned rice milk soap and it does the trick! So I thought that it might be worth trying other natural remedies from abroad. As Armchair23 says - it's cheap so why not?

Because something died to give your face a bit of a wash?

How about trying ground rice/rice flour as an exfoliant?

Thanks for the input folks. I had no idea how they processed this. Horrified! As I said before - hadn't come across it and was looking for thoughts so thanks for the update. Definitely will not be getting this ...

Since that post I've stuck to rice milk soap and having the OH remove the blackheads/whiteheads and it looks better than before ...

Bicarbinate of soda makes a gentle facial scrub and will also soften your skin.

Try bicarb as mentioned above - a very mild abrasive, and slightly alkaline so will help clean the skin (saponify natural oils to a tiny degree). Nothing will make pores smaller, so what you're trying to do is use small particles to dislodge any dirt/makeup blocking them

The rice milk soap sounds interesting. Where can I buy it? The only European source I could find was from Germany, and it contained the evil palm oil.

The last time I did this, I got red raw sore patches! Perhaps I used too much, or scrubbed too hard.

Hi Fen1 - don't know where to buy in Europe I'm afraid. I get it online from Thailand!
