Hi, Hoping for advice please.
Despite being ill,I managed to get to Go Outdoors last Saturday replacing my sons DofE items, like new boots etc. I made the effort because they said my card expired 18th July.
It was a disappointing visit as expiring the 18th meant no longer useable on the 18th! Also they were unable to give satisfaction on a hoody purchased the week before that looked trashed after his DofE practise of only two days.
When we got home I noticed on the receipt that they had over charged me by £5 and hadn't taken off the 10% DofE discount of £16.25 either. I emailed straight away and they got back to me today. They say they can see that I haven't been charged correctly and I can get a refund in store ( that journey is going to take 2 hours and cost at least £6 in fuel), or they will give me vouchers by post.
We have no reason at all to venture into Go Outdoors within the next few years now so don't want vouchers. This is the Gold DofE and we have just stocked up on everything we need over the past three weeks spending over £400 with them.
Can I demand a refund in the form of a cheque or bank transfer?
I just want my money back. Any tips will be gratefully received.
