Paypal not releasing funds after 180 day lock is passed...

I hope this is the right area to post.
To cut a very long story down, on January 9th I got an email out of the blue stating that my PayPal account had been locked for 180 days, and that I could not dispute this.
After being given the following reasons by different staff for the lock:
That time limit was up on 8th July, and no email came that my funds were available. So I called them and they told me I needed to confirm who I am. I uploaded my Driver’s Licence, Bank Statement & Bank Card to them, I'll have an answer within 48hrs they tell me. 3 Days pass, nothing.
I called again and they claim all I sent was my Bank Statement, and it wasn't enough ID. So I asked why they didn’t contact me to upload more ID, they didn't give me a reason.
So I uploaded the ID again and got the guy on the phone to confirm it was received. It also shows as received on my account.
It is now 14 days after the 180 day limit they told me I had access to my funds (£230) and my account is still locked. I plan on calling them tonight, but I have no idea what to do now. I've stayed calm all year and now I just want my cash & to close my account. Please advise!

Soolin (EBay Board) might be the best to help you with this.0

Should I post again in there or request this thread be moved?0

Usual advice is to PM a board guide (e.g. Soolin) to get the thread moved.0

Send a Letter Before Action and then sue them in the small claims court. That will force them either to hand the money over or prove their claims.0

I had something similar in like 2009 when I was running a small business. Had about 80 pounds on there and out of the blue they just blocked my account with similar information. They asked for ID, I provided it and they still messed me around. It transpired that I had opened a second account in 2006 but I had never used it! Back then I wasn't sure on rights etc so they just ended up jibbing me off and still have the 80 pound of mine. To that day I haven't used paypal, and that is also why I'm reluctant to use the ebay site too.
It is a joke site to be honest. 180 days is an absolute joke of a time to wait (and I had to wait the same amount of time) for someone who is making Paypal money. You should consider some of the other websites online who are similar to Paypal.0
