Hello, complete non-techie requests help. Ran a full microsoft essential scan a few days ago and it came up with a Trojan : Win32/Dynamer!ac.
I have tried to apply cleaning it as per mse button but it just gets stuck - runs for hours and then seems to stop midway. The details it gives are
Containerfile: D \preload\base.wim file: D\ prelaod\base.wim -> (image 49814)\program Files (x86) \ HP Games \ Polar Golf \ golf-WT.exe > (EXEmb) -> (ExEmb)
Well that might as well be in Arabic to me, although I can read HP Games, which i've never used and when I checked the games file on my laptop, Polar Golf isn't even there!
I've run a full scan several times and it keeps coming up - but it never had previously. I have installed malawarebytes anti-malware since this and it comes up clear, although it runs through far less objects on my laptop and takes a fifth of the time.
I am thinking maybe I should uninstall Microsoft security essentials and try another proogram like avast to double-check?
All advice very gratefully received as I cannot use my laptop fully with the thought of a Trojan lurking.
Best wishes
