Round the World Travel Insurance

Hi
I'm due to be going on a round the world trip and wondered if anybody might know of some good/ cheap insurers? I've tried Moneysupermarket but they only seem to do multi-trip annual insurance which has a set number of days per trip. It really needs to be a single trip/ annual insurance. Any help greatly appreciated as the more I can save on insurance, the more time I get to spend away!!
Thank you.

Hi,
Our first stop is normally https://www.columbusdirect.com
You can also get a 10% discount if you're a YHA member, or I think Rpoints give you a 10% cash back in Rpoints.0 -
you could try giving direct line a try as they can give some good anual travel insurance quotes.
I used them when i went away for over a year and they worked out cheaper than STA travel. I also know they work well as i had to make a claim while i was in ASIA and they sorted it all out in a reasonable length of time.
Get an online quote under their discoverer package on the travel insurance section. don't know what prices you have been quoted but they work out at under £300. http://www.directline.com/dl/directline.jsp
Just a little advice.... for this kind of trip be sure to get a good policy because if you need to claim you will swear an curse for getting a cheap dodgy one. If my insurance hadn't paid out on my hospital bills in Thailand i would have had to foot the £2000 bill!!!!0
