  • How many batteries have you chucked away? The best advise, and this is what I do, to prolong a lappy battery is to run it right down once a month even to the point of even when it's drained to depress the on/off button to discharge anything remaining. Mine on my HP lappy has lasted about 4-5 years now.

    Hi!

    I was advised to never leave the battery on constant charge when full and wait till the battery was 10 percent before re plugging the power supply in. Where did you purchase your battery? I was hoping the batteries I purchased lasted that long too! :)
