match subscription

Options
I had a 6 month match subscription from Jan to July.

I'm 99% sure I cancelled on phone and I believe online too.

I was planning on having a break from it for a month or so.

I noticed online that my subscription is extended 3 months to expire 19th Oct.

Nothing appears debited from my bank (or PayPal. ..can't remember which way I paid).

Looking at a couple threads it seems others are in similar situation previously and I'm shocked that match actually fail to keep the peace and refund people.

So, am I within some sort of 7 day cooling period rights from 18th or 19th July and eligible a full refund? If not, am I likely to get one? No idea how much they've taken as it's not showing up. And no I haven't received a cancellation email (I'm yet to check my junk folder as I only have partial access with my phone currently).

Annoyed. So Any help is welcome.

Thanks

This is an issue which is going to be resolved by either you being 100% sure or 0% sure that you cancelled...

Let's say I'm 100% sure I cancelled on the phone in Jan when they messed something up with my subscription...and also pretty sure I cancelled online.

I don't seem to have had a 'renewal' email in my inbox or junk folder on/around 18th/19th July.

And I have not used their 'service' this week apart from sending one wink.

so to my question - is there a cooling off period as that surely should supercede the initial clock up of theirs.

So you have used their service.
Not that that matters, as the service has been available for you to use.

No, there is no cooling off period this time round because this is an extension to an existing contract.

    What's a clock up?

    Take the L away.

So how likely am I likely to get a refund 4 or 5 days after a renewal after speaking to someone in India (?) To ensure my subscription didn't renew in January? And being sure I cancelled online too?

Go through your phone records to find when you called to cancel. Give them the date/time of the call and ask them to confirm that the recording proves your assertion that you cancelled your subscription.

    Spoke to match
They confirmed I cancelled 19th Jan
They say no payment has been taken
They cannot explain the new extended subscription
They say I haven't had an offer added to my subscription

So looks like 3 months free :D
