Section 75 (Does £100 include p+p?)

Just a quick question. My dear mother has been caught up by the Stemalogica scam... the item cost £97ish plus £4 postage and packing. I assume that the cost of the item being under £100 is on purpose to get out of the section 75 claims. my question is, if the total cost is over £100 including p+p would we be able to invoke section 75? If not chargeback?
PS don't sign up to Stemalogica!!!

The key to understanding section 75 is the value of the goods and not the amount paid. So for example if you only paid a deposit by credit card and the remainder in cash the whole value and not just the deposit is covered.
In this case the value of the goods is under £100.so section 75 does not apply. But a chargeback may be available. Contact your bank or credit card company.0 -

I don't know what this scam is but, if it relates to goods either not being delivered or not being as advertised, in the first instance your mother could make a chargeback claim:
