To my mind, the Amazon way of handling the trial period is the perfect template that every other company should follow.
Extremely clear info on what exactly you're signing up to. Easy to find info on how to cancel. Easy to cancel. When you cancel you get the choice of cancelling immediately or having the cancellation happen automatically at the end of the trial period. Clear info on what happens to existing orders after you cancel. Reminder email if you haven't got round to cancelling towards the end of the trial.
And although I've not experienced this, I understand they're also flexible if you forget to cancel in time and ask for a bit of leeway.
Not sure what else you could possibly want out of a free trial.0 -
Interesting, I signed up for a trial on "Black Monday" yet when I follow the above link to "Manage Your Prime Membership" it says I'm not a member but when I go in via my account it says I am.0

I was in the process of selecting a particular item on Amazon. All I did was put the item in my basket and immediately I was welcomed to having joined Amazon Prime!! An e mail arrived to that effect advising me that the £79 would be taken from my account in one month. I had not even gone to the checkout. This is really out of order and I am very angry that they should be trying this on. I went to the manage your account and unsubscribed. I will have to remember to check that they do not take the money now.
This should be stopped.0 -

Don't be a Drama Queen. Perhaps you should take a closer look as to what you agree before going forward.
It was easy to de-subscribe and you'll get a month of free next day delivery where possible.
Why are you complaining?0
