Best S&S ISA

Which provider would people recommend?

I don't want to trade often at all - just a small portfolio of funds and trackers with a few single stocks based on my own research.

This is a long only fund as I am quite young.

The one that fits the investment needs and objectives.

So, you are looking for a full platform that allows funds and shares. As you will be having a portfolio of trackers, one assumes you will be rebalancing these and with a portfolio typically needing around 10 funds to cover all sectors, that could be a fair bit of trading each year. Or as you going to be using a multi-asset fund (made up of trackers)?

By portfolio I just mean a platform of a few stocks and funds.

Maybe a Lifestrategy 80 fund with 2/3 stocks

Depends on the frequency of your trades (since many charge a fee per trade, especially for stocks) and the amount you invest (since you can choose from both fixed and percentage based fee platforms).

Plug your numbers into http://www.comparefundplatforms.com/ and see what pops up.
