Green and Red - AR / DMP markers

Afternoon

A few months ago I fully settled a DMP and I'd like to start looking towards getting a mortgage.

I have 2 accounts which were both marked on my credit reports in DMP / AR status.

A Barclaycard which is marked as AR - Green
A Natwest Loan is marked as AR - RED (6 months late)

Both of these have been recorded like this since Arpil 2010.

Is anyone able to explain the difference (if there is one) in the eyes of a mortgage lender. Is a green AR marker looked at like an up to date account etc...

Thank you for any help.

Mike

May I ask is your natwest account still showing red 6 with nothing owning, I ve 2 accounts like this on arrangement one cleared in sept 14 one with a little over 2000 on it , I do not know about a mortgage but my own bank will not give me a full current account with a cheque book ,they say the red 6 means you have defaulted and payments are not being made as the credit agreement . Went to fos and losses as they say it was an arrang meant I agreed to so fair it is reported like wise

    Hello dumpyboy

Yes that's correct, all paid off and marked as settled but with the Red AR markers showing 6 late payments.

I will contact Natwest and see if anything can be done as I know this will affect my credit rating greatly.

If anyone knows whether a green AR is more favourable I'd be interested to hear, as it would be goodnto know how a lender perceives a green up to date AR marker.

    Thanks
