Dormant account closure (delay) and credit file

Firstly apologies for the title of this thread, didn't exactly know how to summaries it.......
In March I completed a DMP with PayPlan and as a result a loan debt with Natwest was paid off and my credit file has since been updated to reflect this. However, on my credit file there is a current account with Natwest which is still showing as open. This is despite the fact that access to the account was restricted as soon as I defaulted on my loan account as the two were linked. Access to online banking was revoked and I was advised to open a new account with another provider as Natwest would have been within their rights to take money from the current account against the debt.
After viewing my updated credit file in March I requested that the current account be closed as well as it should have been done at the same time as the loan account was marked as satisfied. I was told by Natwest that it would take a couple of months to do this as there was a backlog. Fast forward to July and it still hasn’t been done so I made another phone call to find out why it hadn’t been closed and I was told that they are slowly working their way through account closures and said that there is a delay as calculations have to be made to make sure that the debt has been paid off in full or to see if a refund is due.
Am I being overly fussy that they haven’t done this yet? The account balance is showing as zero and the account status is showing as “ok” so I’m guessing that having this account showing on my credit file would be a positive thing rather than a negative thing?
