Hi
I am new to this PPI premium refunds.
I had bad experience with banks hiding behind technical terms used by me and dismissing my concerns.
I paid huge amount in PPI and I want to get refund hence I am tring to be sure that when I write to them or contact them, will I use the word 'Claim' or 'Complaint'?
Please help me understand the matter and any advice will be brilliant.

You are making a complaint. Claim is what you do when you suffer a claimable event (redundancy etc).
The term claim is misused but its heavily misused. Hence they confusion. However, it is a complaint you are making and it will be dealt with their complaints team.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

This is the correct answer. Despite the avalanche of misleading marketing by third party CMCs (which is aimed at the general public, who don't like to think of themselves as complainers but are always ready to try and get their hands on free money) making a complaint is exactly what you are proposing to do. It will therefore be treated as such.0
