Yes, you can. Depending on the circumstances the employer may also have the option to dismiss on capability grounds.0

Just to clarify - YOU are not redundant. Your post is. So it is irrelevant whether you are sick (although long term absence might lead an employer to realise that the post is dispensable, I would guess!)Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Yes, being sick does not protect you against being selected for redundancy, nor does being disabled or being pregnant or on maternity leave, so long as the selection criteria used are fair.
Using sickness absences are part of the selection criteria is not in itself unfair or unlawful (although it may be where the absences relate to protected characteristics such as pregnancy or disability)All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
