    BOOM!

    They appear to be the same as UK. I don't live there anymore but visit my Dad and mates 3-4 times a year. The local Tesco's had Euro Car Parks installed with the same old crappy signs that you get here, intimating that under contract law they can repossess your house if you don't pay £100 immediately for staying 1 minute over time.

    I don't know anyone who's got a ticket so I've no idea how they're handled (if they are at all) or whether they're just an empty threat designed to deter.

    I've never seen anyone on a forum with a ticket from a PPC in the IOM.

    I've never seen a post about them either.

    POPLA only applies to England & Wales - not NI or Scotland.

    Be interesting to see Tynwald's take on it.

    Usually they fiercely defend their separate status.

    Tynwald's take on it - and I'll be careful how I phrase this - will be the same as with everything else, it'll depend on how fat the brown envelope from the PPC will be.

    Yep, it certainly is a deterrent. It detters me from using certain carparks that's for sure.
