Balance transfer on 8000

I am looking to transfer a credit card balance of about 8000 but have just applied for one and was accepted but they only had a credit limit of 2500, are there any cards that will offer me the full balance. If not does anyone know of any way I can get a 0% interest deal otherwise? Thanks

what you will be offered varies from lender to lender based on your risk profile (to them), affordability etc. I took out a few of cards in the last year for stoozing and was offered everything from £4.5k limit to £18k limit. No difference in my own details between applications.
Do you earn enough to support 2 x £8k cards as they will assume you won't pay the first one off. Transfer the 90% of £2.5k as a start - it all helps

0% is the preserve of credit cards, who else would lend money for nothing back in return?

The chances of you getting another card with enough limit to do a BT will depend on your credit history, your income, etc. You have to remember that they cannot force you to close your old card down so at an absolute minimum they've got to consider if you can afford to service £16,000 of debt and if your current situation is 1 card maxed out then that would be raising red flags to them already.
