Hi Guys, My Son has just had a Mini I-pad, and cannot pick up his wifi, because he has forgotten the password. He says it's not on the router,?
Primus gave him a credit card type with it on, but, has misplaced it.
How can he find his password without changing the router.??

WiFi password is usually printed on a panel on the router, or on a detachable piece of same.

Who are Primus? If they are the ISP or router manufacturer, have you tried contacting them?

if you are running another machine (win 7 or possibly 8 ) via wireless you can go to network settings and there is a box to reveal the password , can,t explain more as I,m on win 10

    Hi googler,thanks for reply.
primus is his Isp. I said that may be his best bet, if it's not on the router, which he says it's not.? I don't yet know the make of the router. Just wondered if there was a way to find it.? His Pc is auto locked into it wifi, password already inserted..

by logging into the router, finding the credit card thing, or http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html

then do as I suggested above , or do as windup says , log into your router and look at the password

one router does not need a password , the other does try "admin" and "1234" , the usual ip for the router is 192.168.1.1

It's called 'Key', not 'password', on both the card and back of the router.
On the back it's on the sticker and under (beneath) the 'Name'.

Thanks Guys, he's located it.on the bottom of the router. He obviously didn't look hard enough.
His I-pad picked it up straight away with the key.
    Appreciate all your help.
