Best reward for £10k spend first month and £25k pa always paying off in full?

I have £10k spend next month which i will pay off in full and am looking for the best return. Will probably spend £25k in the year and always pay off in full.

cant decide if cashback or airline card is best.

but cashback seems to be capped at £100 max and i dont travel on flights that often so i'm a bit stuck.

thanks

The first question is whether the retailer for your £10k spend accepts Amex?

If so, the Platinum Cashback card will earn you £406.25 (5% on the first £2,500 and 1.25% on the rest). You can get cashback to cover the first year's annual fee if you get a referral from the thread in the referrers forum.

Or the Santander 123 might be a good choice if your purchase fits one of the 2% or 3% categories. Otherwise you're probably looking at a measly 0.5% from the Adsa cashback card (or one of the others that offers the same rate).

Airline cards are a whole different animal and it's really hard to compare the rate of return you actually get.
