Late father's bank account in Hungary

I'm trying to help my father's widow sort out his financial affairs and we have a real problem trying to close his 2 bank accounts in Hungary and retrieve funds.
She has already sent original copies of the death certificate and probate to the bank (OTP) neither of which have been returned. Instead they have sent a letter in poor English asking for various documents such as an Apostille-clause and requiring an authenticated translation of every document.
We don't speak or write Hungarian and are based in Kent. Does anyone know of any useful contacts to help with this?

Try the Hungarian embassy based in London?

Without knowing the value of the bank accounts and whether there are any capital restrictions in sending money out of Hungary it is difficult to advise further.
If it is a large sum - maybe a holiday to Hungary might be an option where you could find a local solicitor to deal with this?

AFAIK, it's UK Home Office that has to do apostille: https://www.gov.uk/get-document-legalised

I guess there are UK companies can do both the translation and the apostille.

Looks like in other direction:

Our certified translations are accepted by organisations such as the UK Passport Office and NARIC

Apostille is certification in this country that makes documents acceptable in other countries.

I see this as UK apostille for the originals plus certified translation in Hungary, but possibly there are other ways of doing the second step.
