In the next couple of weeks I want to upgrade my old crt monitor for a tft flat panel one, I would like a 19" monitor if possible, how do I know if it will work on my computer? what other things do I need to look out for? I have been looking at the ones on EBUYER and AMAZON for around the £100-£120 price range.

Unless your PC is more than 10 years old any monitor should in theory work.
Your current PC will probably have a VGA out port (blue) - new LCD monitors will either use vga, dvi or both so check before you buy.0 -

I have not checked what colour port it is using at the moment but there is a blue port above where it is plugged in.
