Call lane leeds

Options
We represent Licensed Private Hire Drivers in Leeds and have had numerous complaints from members about the traffic restrictions on Call Lane on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights 10:00pm to 6:00 am the following morning.

We have recently, on behalf of ONE of our members submitted two appeal for Bus Lane PCN's on Call Lane which he received.

Our submission was basically that the Signage and/or road marking were not legal.

He received a reply stating that 'in the Council's opinion the signage and road markings were compliant with legislation, however on this occassion they would rescind not only the two PCN's in question but a further two that were yet to be issued.' Our member had no knowledge of these other two.

Leeds City Council have, between 20th February 2015 and 7th July 2015 issued 6594 PCN's and raised £118,701 in revenue. (See FOI Request 14419, 10th June 2015) Who says this is not a money making venture?

Why if everything, Signage, Road Markings etc would Leeds Council cancel not only two PCN's under appeal but two that haven't even been issued yet.

If any one else has received PCN's from Leeds city Council re Call Lane do not hesitate to contact us at phssltd@outlook.com and we would be happy to assist.

They don't want a "coppergate" adjudication decision so they will cancel any dodgy looking challenges.
It is not a bus lane and they know it.

Thanks for info on this @PHSS.

We tend to deal with private parking charges, although a number of people drop by and raise queries on council tickets. We always refer them to a parallel 'fightback' forum - PePiPoo - which has a dedicated council ticket sub forum.

Perhaps you would copy this post there as they will get many more council ticket victim queries than us. Here's your link:

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
