Broken Gas Meter Seal?

Electric meter looks fine.
The item on the gas meter is quite small so it's difficult to see if it looks exactly like the pic. It is similar though. I'd guess it's something like 1/2 oval and grey coloured. Two thin wires out of each end connect to the meter - one of which has a break in it.
Similar thing on electric meter but that's unbroken.
I'll assume this won't stop me switching suppliers.0 -
When they get behind the seal they are looking to either stop the index altogether or the clever ones shave teeth off cogs to reduce gas bill. The index would go round in a stop- start jerky fashion on the 100 ths of a unit dial or not advance at all. Anyway you re covered as you ve told BG. Have a good sniff around the meter for any leaks. Its a good idea to use Cheap Energy Club for cashback on switching suppliersElectric meter looks fine.
