Travel Insurance

hi all we live in N/I and sometimes need to get flights from Dublin to europe,now I have been told that because I leave the UK (Belfast) and go into another european country my flight may not be covered by travel insurance as I have already left my home address,I have asked an insurance company but they say I will not be covered for missed departure if I were to use public transport to get to Dublin but dont say anything about say the airline cancels the flight,strike,delayed flight or anything like that and we all know that if anything like that were to happen that they would do anything not to pay out.Is there anyone out there could help with this as I dont want to pay money out for insurance if its going to be no good

hi all just a bit of an update,travel insurance co have said now that if my flight is delayed ,cancelled or anything else I will not be covered for the first part of the flight,(what is the use of taking out a policy that is no good for your travel and thankfully I have not brought it yet)so does anyone out there know of a policy to cover me leaving the UK ,via another european country.I have tryed airline (aer linglus)travel insurance but its just telling me that the quote is for leaving the UK !!!!! ,so I think I am in same boat as with other insurance company .Can anyone out there please help
