Where can I pay in coins?

Hi everyone, I thought I'd update people based on a suggestion made earlier in this thread.
I have a Post Office within a 5-minute walk from here. I popped into it today and had a chat with the manager, explaining that I wanted to deposit money into my HSBC bank account by paying in coins.
He said that was fine. All I needed to do was bag the coins and present them to him and provide my bank's debit card for the transaction.
The money goes onto to my account instantly. He mentioned several other banks that you could pay into too.
There is no charge for this service. Many thanks to the posts earlier in this thread suggesting this method.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0 -

A quick update: I bagged up £140 worth of £2, £1 and 50p coins last night in coin bags and took them to my local Post Office along with my HSBC debit card.
They weighed each bag of coins and then swiped my debit card. I pressed 'Enter' on the card machine and they gave me a receipt confirming the deposit.
I came home and checked my bank account and the £140 credit was in there.
All in all, the entire process took just 2 minutes and appeared to be even easier than going to a branch of my bank.
Highly recommended if you need to pay cash in the forms of coins into your bank account. The Post Office doesn't charge a fee for most banks.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0
