Hi all,
Recently purchased this at the bargain price of £19 on Amazon 'Prime' Sale day this week.
I run windows xp 32bit ...not a massive amount of memory & internet connection of 5.3mps. Followed the instructions online re: configuring fire stick-i.e turning on debugging & 3rd party app downloads, etc & noted the devices ip address as needed.
Downloaded adbfire28- slow but managed to set up the firestick on there with the ip adress. Clicked on the 'load apk' file (having downloaded kodi-14.2-Helix-armeabi-v7a.apk from the kodi site & saving to desktop)-obviously making sure that the tab at the bottom 'adb is running' & 'device connected' were showing.
So far so good.....the 'blue progress' bar on the bottom right of adb display moved-allbeit urber slow...to the end where I expected a message saying 'finished' or 'dowloaded' etc...but NO. Blue bar starts AGAIN as if it's downloading again. Let this happen 5 times & disconnected adb & shut down adb server but it did not download to fire stick.
By the way....firewall was disabled during this.
I've googled away but can't find the answer. I know you can download the huge android sdk kit (I'd need an older version as new ones are not xp compatible) but have old java that wouldn't work.
I know there is a 'command' script way of doing it but frankly my head is cabbaged now. There is also a 'push/pull' button on adb28-would that work?
Confused.com...any experts offer any eaasy to follow advice?

Try googling agk fire. It allows you to transfer any apps from your phone onto the fire stick0

The app is ADB fire & is only for Android (I think). Again-thanks to Enfield Freddy-I now feel quite the expert lol (!).0

I have one of the fire sticks as well, im getting a whole lot of buffering happening on it and its really annoying, I bought the stick with kodi etc loaded
also when I hit the home button I cant get it back onto kodi without switching the stick off and starting again
