What does this parking sign mean?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what this parking sign means?



Does it mean I cannot park between Mon to Sat 8:30am to 6:30pm?

Can I park on weekends?

I thought it was pretty obvious.

Resident permits only between 8:30am and 6:30pm Mon to Sat. If you don't have a permit you can only park outside this period.

These bays are reserved for residents who hold a resident parking permit or for their visitors who display a visitor's voucher.

I would have known not to park there without a permit, But what does the D(n) mean?

Nothing like that around here.

Parking zone - usually a letter followed by a number to indicate a sub zone/bay.

That's what it means in Hackney, but as we don't know where the OP is trying to park it may not mean the same there (the sign in Hackney uses D(N) rather than D(n) so I'd say there's a pretty good chance it is somewhere else).

A few more words would help us folk who don't frequent the big smoke, perhaps words are expensive in Hackney. Or they could do it all in those symbols you get in multi-lingual instructions, then we'd all be equally in the dark.
