Only if you use an ATM. Besides, when you have 8 current accounts and can spread the money between them using faster payments, you could in theory get hold of £8k in cash over a weekend.

And I have done exactly that. I try to avoid busy times but working through 8 bank cards to draw out cash can be time consuming!
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I'm aiming for 6 months family expenditure (min). At present we are just shy of 3 months (all held in high interest current accounts ATM).

I shan't be including available credit (cards / overdrafts) in case plans didn't work out and we ended up even worse off!

(I also have an S&S ISA - also not included).
    To Do 2015
Claim back PPI & packaged bank account fees
Take (further) first steps in investing (S&S ISA)
    Start saving for the children
    Start a business
    + £2015 in 2015 from home / £5026.21

I am fortunate enough to have voted for the final amount but in reality as we have £1.000 spare per month I would just be £500 short per month for a similar lifestyle now and if you factor in JSA that would come down to a £200 deficit each month I was out of work.
