Media Student Exposes Private Parking Scams In Video

Options
This short film was made for a Media Studies project, and features some well known people from this forum and elsewhere:

https://youtu.be/weY59fUaYRU

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

That's excellent - I think it should be embedded at the very top of the newbies sticky to give people a quick overview of the situation.

That way, when they do start reading the newbies thread, they will already have understood some of the key arguments and should make the rest of the thread more immediately relevant (and perhaps help stop some of the really basic questions that keep getting asked...)

Excellent work by the student, but why did BB refer to a magistrates Court? Does he still not yet fully understand the situation?

!st time I've ever watched a you tube clip to the end. I wish that MP's could see it and act.

In the sequence starting at 00:24 showing a parking ticket being removed from a windscreen it's actually a PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE.

Are PPCs in fact not breaching the COPs when they use yellow and black chequered envelopes. Is this not a useful stick with which to beat the BPA and COP?
