Bank account under review

Can anyone shed some light my Barclay's account as been frozen so it can be reviewed without warning or anything I can't take any money out pay bills nothing all I get told is that its being reviewed dont no why and that I just have to wait till they have finished can anyone help

    Typically this happens when they suspect fraud or money laundering.

    How much have you got paid? Have you done anything out of the ordinary with your accounts recently - larger amounts in and out etc?

    This must be hugely frustrating if you *really* don't know anything about it. If that's the case, chances are some money has landed in your account by mistake that has triggered alarms.

    If it was me I would be at my branch on Monday and not leaving until I had spoken to the manager and got some agreement on when I would have my account back.
