for the last week or 2 I have been trying out a amazon fire TV (the box , not the dongle)
I sideloaded XBMC/Kodi and managed to get it to play using the Ikono TV and Llama
anyone who knows the fires will know what I,m on about.
stage 2 was the setting up of xbmc with Istream and IVue TV , however I came across a better app for TV , Mobdro , this is fantastic!!!! , however it runs in android , not XBMC , and you had to go to settings/aplications/loaded apps /launch
ok , next was to get rid of the fires "amazon" home screen and install Fire TV home
a quick play with llama and its done!!!
machine fires up , top row icon (recent) is Ikono TV , click on it and you go into the new home screen , uncluttered , with nice icons for mobdro and xbmc
clicking either take you to the respected programmes and when you leave them you come back to the new menu , , and basically you can long press to put her to sleep
