Settled a PPI Claim with Lloyds in 2013, why are they now phoning about it?

Hi,
Lloyds refunded a PPI Claim in 2013 and now they're phoning wanting to discuss it.
Has this happened to anyone else, any ideas what they want to discuss?
My partner worries about this kind of thing. :(

Yes. it is a common occurrence. Tends to happen where a past review has indicated that the wrong redress method was used or not all accounts were taken into account.

its only positive. The outcome will either be no change or more redress.

  • I just received another payment from Lloyds approx 3 years after original compensation paid so fingers crossed for you.
They contacted me about 4-5 weeks ago and cheque came before letter explaining why.
  • Lloyds Banking Group are re-opening a lot of their PPI complaints - probably as a result of pressure / threat of a fine from the regulators.

I made a mis-selling of PPI complaint against their Halifax brand in 2013 and they turned me down, however, last month they sent me a letter saying the case had been reviewed and the decision changed.

They upheld my original complaint and sent me the money - over £1200!!

This has made me wonder if it is worth chasing previously declined cases from other banks...

Well apart from Lloyds Bank i do know that MBNA and Barclays are
under investigation by the FOS for underpaying PPI settlements.
