UPDATE: We ended up speaking to our friend who's doing the EWI. He's going to take it down from that part of the wall but, as the brick underneath will be ruined from the glue and holes drilled, they're putting a very think coating over the top which will be no more than 5mm.
Our house is one of 5 Edwardian red brick terraced houses on our road. As the neighbour is getting a white render on the front there's complete uproar on the row. Neighbours squaring up to each other and everything! Part and parcel of being a home owner I suppose!!0
