:rotfl:Builders never give a damn about the neighbours. I've had an entire room covered with dust because the neighbours builder couldn't be bothered to knock on my door and tell me that he was using cutting tool on next doors extension and perhaps might I like to close my window! Also had builders dropping hot tar above my pet enclosures because they couldn't be bothered to tell anyone they were going to reroof.
Gotta wonder what their attitude would be if you started building over their garden. I'm sure they would kick up a fuss straight away.

UPDATE: We ended up speaking to our friend who's doing the EWI. He's going to take it down from that part of the wall but, as the brick underneath will be ruined from the glue and holes drilled, they're putting a very think coating over the top which will be no more than 5mm.
Our house is one of 5 Edwardian red brick terraced houses on our road. As the neighbour is getting a white render on the front there's complete uproar on the row. Neighbours squaring up to each other and everything! Part and parcel of being a home owner I suppose!!
