deleting programs

Hi,

I keep getting Driver Assist and AVG Tune up, popping up.

AVG is shown on a list of Programs, but when I right click there is no 'uninstall' option. Driver Assist does not appear anywhere, but Driver Support does at bottom RHS icons.

Is AVG part of virus protection (AVG Antivirus 2015 free, is an icon on the desktop) and needs to be there ? Otherwise how to get rid of both please.

Yes AVG is the anti virus.

Id get the avg removal tool from here.

if it's my AV (think the computer shop may have put it on) then I need to leave it there ?/ Just annoying that the pop up to buy keeps coming.
The Driver Assist thing is the bug. If it doesn't show in the list of programs, where is it ?

Download and run ADW Cleaner http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

Look in Control panel for any reference to SafeBytes who are the developer of Driver Assist and remove if found.

Driver Assist is not a malicious program but will nag you to buy the full version after it scans for outdated drivers.
