Solicitor refuse to exchange contract

Don't worry about the solicitor acting for the lender too, you both share the same interest. I.e. the lender wants to make sure that the property will repay the mortgage if/when it is sold and I'm sure you do too. What will your verse be?

What's the hang up on completion dates? If you aren't ready the deal will just have to wait until the seller provides the necessary documents.
It's not yr solicitors fault - the delay is due to the seller being incompetent at providing the paperwork which is requested on the Seller's Form, which they will have completed very early in the process. They will have to provide it, and you will have to wait for it.
Perhaps, as seems often to be the case, the delay is because the paperwork is NOT in order after all.0 -
Well just wanted to check in make sure that you where ok.
I panic every day that goes by. I know that if we do not get the keys and get started before the end of July we will have not chance of moving in 1st week in October. But I hope like you I am trying to take the high ground.
My solicitor is now waiting for yet another piece of paper( floor plan of basement ) !!!!. I know that it is not his fault and I know that it is delaying everything but just like you ( again I hope ) I am leaving it to him as just as I am an expert in my field he is in his.
Well hope you have moved forward with the purchase more than I have ( waiting game now ) and guarantee when you are finally in all this stress will be forgotten. Well that's what I keep telling myself ha haHappiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -
Focus your attentions on getting the seller to provide the correct paperwork, I've just sold a property and had all the certificates for building regs, FENSA, gas & electric works with the solicitors within 48hrs of the offer being accepted. It's your seller holding things up not your solicitor.0
