How to legally warn others NOT to Buy

How can the system be fair if the buyer loses out on £750 and the seller loses nothing and there is no recourse for him to do it to someone else
Why we haven't adopted the Scottish system of the buyer seeing the homebuyer report before offering escapes me. It makes no sense !0 -

Well...that's me learnt something new for the day. I'd never heard the word pleonetic before. One quick google later = "the desire to have more than one's share" - I think we can safely say quite a large proportion of the human race have got that one then...:(
....and...yep life isn't fair....but that shouldn't stop us from trying to make it so...0 -

Thanks for your comments but if you cant be helpful, please don't comment.
I wouldn't be surprised if you turned out to be the vendor of said property. As you and him seam to share the same insular, pleonectic attitude
Firstly, I'll decide which threads I'll comment on, not you. It's an open forum for a reason, get used to it.
Second, what are the chances of the vendor using this forum, let alone posting on the thread about their property? Probably minimal, wouldn't you say?
Finally, if I were the owner of the property, I'd be encouraging you to put an ad in the paper about your concerns, so I could bankrupt you through the Courts. Have I done that?0 -

No, its not fair, but then buyer can pull out at any time for any reason right up until the day of exchange too which can leave sellers up the creek too.
Unless we have a system that involves a legal commitment much earlier in the process, its always going to be a risky business. I'm not sure it'd necessarily be better if people were locked in sooner anyway, some people would still end up disadvantaged/in financial trouble just for different reasons.0 -
The website you're thinking of is:Someone posted a link to a website on here not long ago where you can share your survey results but I cannot find the link or remember the name, sorry.
http://www.whybuytwice.com/surveys/
But hardly anyone uses it. It's worth putting your entry on there so anyone can find it, bit it's unlikely they willChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -

Quite right - its a free world OP was wrong to try and control this thread.
However, in the situation where you as alleged vendor have just tried to pull the wool over unknown parties in a fraudulent way (ie knowingly deceiving the buyer of your property) the fact that you think the law is then on your side if anyone deems to point it out. On what grounds will you sue? When the facts are clearly stated in a professional report,I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

Look, you missed out on buying the property - for whatever reason - just let it go now.
You wont admit, it but you're obviously bitter about it and seem to want to do something more drastic than simply informing the EA of why you pulled out.
Tell the EA why you pulled out and leave it like that. Contacting a subsequent buyer etc is plain daft - they will have got their own survey and be aware of the condition, why is that any interest of yours?0 -
What i don't understand is why would a seller do up a house to sell without fixing all these problems first, when they know these issues would come up on any survey?
Because it would have cost much much more to fix those problems and he is in it to make money. How can the system be fair if the buyer loses out on £750 and the seller loses nothing and there is no recourse for him to do it to someone else
This world doesn't evolve around fairness, even justice is questionable! The reality is that we are all responsible for our own actions when we are at risk of a loss. You did the right thing and by doing so, you protected yourself. That's the same for everyone.
Buying a property is one of the best investment because it is one of the least risky, however, that doesn't mean that it comes without risks at all. It is everyone's choice to invest in reducing that risk (as you've done) or you can choose to take the chance (they're loss in this case).
You don't owe people to be warn otherwise, you might as well give up your full-time job and embark in a life of taking on missions!0
