Business cards - best deal and service?

I want to get around 500 business cards done ASAP, now that I have got myself sorted out a bit, and went to an event last weekend, where a couple of dozen people asked me for a business card and I ended up writing things down on scraps of paper - not good!
So, after contacting loads of companies, offering loads of options at loads of different prices, I went on the Vistaprint site.
I designed a lovely card, which even my hyper critical OH really liked (I think that she was trying to bring on a fatal coronary actually:D), then went to the checkout basket on their site, only to learn that they would not be able to deliver them before 30th July:eek:
I have half a dozen business meetings before then, and I will be the only one not swapping cards.
So folks, who can I use to get a less than 48 hour turnaround?

You could print up some of your own on card from Smiths whilst waiting?

VP usually offer various delivery speeds (at different costs), although 48h might be ambitious. I've found they often deliver faster than stated too. 48h is going to be too short (especially with weekend) for any postal service, so DIY may be best bet for now.

I ordered cards from them, and they came very quickly, within 1 week, have you got a local printers? go and see them, may be able to do you some in a day or so.
  • Have you checked out Moo.com?

Their cards are really superb quality, you can have something different on each if you like, and they have a 25% off deal on at the moment.

I can't say I've seen one recently but there used to be machines at some major rail stations where you could print out a fairly basic business card there and then.

Edit: These seem like an odd selection of businesses to have them but here goes if you want to check:

    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10
  • Check out fiverr.com search for business cards and get an amazing design done for about £3.50. I use them all the time.

Then check out Ebay for business card printers, double sided and send them your new design. Should be about £12 for 500 glossy double sided.

    Well worth the effort!

Thanks for the replies folks. I ended up doing two methods. I ordered 200 from Vistaprint, they arrived today and look great.
I also used a template to print out some on photo paper, and knocked 48 of those out on Monday, so I had plenty to hand out at a business meeting.
