It is amazing how much better it sounds if phrased as applicants must have relevant C&G certificate. To help potential applicants we are running this course for free every 6 months.

Some of the related material does actually seem worth teaching - graffiti removal for instance.

I know There are apprenticeships for stacking shelves now.
Does that mean that being a shelf-stacker is a 'career', now?
Is there a difference between a job and a career anymore?
The lines Seems to have been blurred since the introduction of apprenticeships in almost anything as opposed to them only rreally being in skilled trades like electricians and plasterers like it was in my day.
  • Well, how did this turn out OP?

I didn't go in the end. I had to go to a meeting at work today so wouldn't have made it in today anyway. I will also be signing off JSA within the next week or so as my hours at work are now starting to pick up.

I have a feeling though that if I did do the course that it would essentially be free labour.
  • Good to see the update, you made the right decision I'd agree, hope the other work picks up for you x
