Help with Storge Heater Circuit Board please?

Hello
Thank you for looking. I need some advice please - electrical based.
I have removed all the storage heaters from my house and have just purchase some new electic radiators. I was informed that these will plug straight into the socket vacated by the storage heaters.
We are on an economy 7 tariff but are in the throws of changing to a standard tariff as it doesnt make sence to remain on the tariff.
When the new heaters are fitted, I am concerned that they will only start to work during economy 7 hours as that is when the storage heater circuit board is supplied power. As far as my experience tells me, the storage heaters are not equipped with a timer so it must be the circuit that is supplied energy during overnight periods and disconnects in the morning?
If this correct? If so, is it a big job to keep the remain circuit board but rewire it so it remains on all the time? What is the best solution please? How much would it likely cost me for the work to be carried out (assuming that the solution is far to complex for a keen DIY'er to carry out)
Many thanks for looking

Depends how the NSH's were wired. Originally they were on a separate circuit which ran to an E7 meter which would only power them during E7 hours at the cheap rate. Modern E7 installs run everything at cheap rate during the E7 hours. The switching is done at the meter, not at the CU: older meters have mechanical time clocks, modern ones are tele-switched.
Are you having the E7 meter replaced with a single rate meter? Some providers will totalise on a dual rate meter, others will not.
You need to get an electrician in to give you a quite for the rewiring required in your case: anything downstream of the meter will be your responsibility, the supplier will only change the meter (normally around £60).
PS: why are you replacing E7 with a system that will increase your heating bills by about 300%?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

storage heaters should not be plugged into a socket, they should be wired in,
are you sure it wasn't panel heaters you removed?0
