APD isn't charged for NIs only long haul route to New York which can be an option when compared to travelling to Dublin. I've flown this route a few times with connecting flights including Seattle but it does mean a delay in Newark and losing the perks of international flights (food, tv etc)
Aer Lingus have a San Fran route so you can get to both coasts direct from Dublin and pre-clearing customs in Dublin can save time at the other end.0 -
You don't need to use a travel agent to plan a trip to the US. It's very easy to do it yourself. Just make sure you have adequate travel insurance.0
