Just read your latest post - i thought you had no details about the soakaway location?

Is this area '5 feet from my house front' on your land or not?[/QUOTE]

No I don't know for certain, I'm just going by what BG intended to do when they gave me my quote, as I say all our houses are identical in layout so I think it's likely they will follow the same idea.

Yes, the area they would put the soak is 5 feet from my house front and on my land.
    Waddle you do eh?

needs to be 500mm away from the external wall, so hardly 5 feet, its filled with lime chippings that will prob last longer than your boiler
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

500mm away from the neighbours wall could quite easily be 5ft away from OP's wall.

that could be true, however if the safe distance to prevent damage to brickwork etc is 500mm then 5' is not going to cause an issue, the condense out of a boiler is only slightly acidic about the same as coke, plus the lime chipping with neutralise that anyway

Look upon it positively. If the water is acidic, you could plant a hydrangea which, if the right variety, would go a startling shade of blue. :)

I had a BG boiler quote once, it was £4400.

We are having an independent install a boiler for £1855 next Saturday.

Please let us know how it goes. Sometimes a cheaply fitted system can be troublesome
