How much time is reasonable to do remedial work on a car collection?

Just under two weeks ago I purchased and 09 Zafira from a local used car dealers. I paid a £200 deposit with the understanding that a few jobs to the car would be done before paying for it. The car was new in that day so it had not even been valeted. It had a few minor problems that were to be fixed such as cracked wing mirror and number plate and the bumper being slightly out of alignment. The agreement was that it would be ready for collection on the 13th which gave them a week to sort this out. I was told I would be kept up to date with it's progress.
After having no calls from them. I went to the dealership on the 14th to find the car had not been touched. Assurances were given that it was scheduled for work the next day and I reminded them that I needed the car to go on holiday with the following week.
I have just been back to the garage and the car has literally not moved or been touched since I visited on Tuesday. (I left a small stick on the tyre that has not moved). Sadly no staff were available to speak to so I have come home fuming.
Do I try and cancel the purchase or just accept the fact that I have put a deposit on a car from a garage with low quality service?
