OP, you need to get a grip on this to keep yourself out of court. All the information is here, all we ask is that you look for it.
While researching, read about PE V Barry Beavis, which PE may throw at you, your event has nothing remotely to do with Beavis, see if you can find out why.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thank you Herzlos, I knew who you meant.
Thank you too The Deep, I will indeed read the case and let you know if I can 'spot the difference'.
I've no issue with being pointed in the right direction. It is the manner in which I am directed that is upsetting. Politeness costs nothing but unfortunately we live in a world where people can be rude to another and hide behind a "no offence" clause. It's very sad. Jeremy Kyle, Big Brother et al have desensitised us all to this behaviour.0 -
Oh dear Ashron, Redex was not rude to you, he really does have your best interests at heart, and if you can't stand a bit of straight talking from him you will be mortified by the arrogance and further letters from Parking Eye, and their debt collectors etc.
Please try to read and understand the process from here on, and do not send anything off without having it proof read by the regulars an here first or you probably will lose.0 -
clearly you have not read the NEWBIES sticky thread (or anything else for that matter)
To suggest I am unread is rude. There is a fine line between "straight-talking" and being simply impolite. Anyway, the issue happened several posts ago between Mr RedX and I, it hasn't happened since from any other contributor so I would consider it 'water under the bridge'.
Yes, I will get upset if I receive intimidating correspondence from the company in question. The whole thing is very anxiety provoking and this forum malarky is, equally, quite intimidating for me.
I am trying to find the case mentioned above but I'm struggling.0 -
The Deep, I have replied to your message with, what I believe to be, the answer to your question.0

VICTORY!!! A good rant at PALS and quoting Jeremy Hunt's "...trusts should waive fines when an overstay is beyond the control of the driver" (thank you again Herzlos) and the hospital have instantly cancelled the charge. No appeal necessary.0

Did they initially say they couldn't do anything about it, forcing you to say the magic words?
If so, put in a formal complaint and copy in the local press.0
