Is it possible to open a Halifax junior isa without even a £1 deposit ?
My Halifax branch say it is ( I got a statement in saying nothing in my sons account but I thought there was _ unless I produce receipt nothing they can do?, I opened a junior isa for him last May but they say nothing in it) I Cant remember exactly now as over a year ago and no receipt!)

Opening a Junior Cash ISA – You need at least £1 to open this account in one of our branches or online. Payments can be made into the account up to the annual limit set by the government.

but whether that's sufficient to get them to cough up a pound (or even if it's worth pursuing at all if you only think there might have been a pound in there) is another matter!

It would be possible to allocate a sort code and account number and forget to collect a deposit.
