Received multiple PCN's for using a bus lane on a motorbike

Hi

I received two penalty charge notices from London Borough Tower Hamlets today for using a bus lane on a motorcycle.
I recently changed my route because of heavy road works to my usual route and I wasn't aware I couldn't use this particular bus lane.

My issue is that I have been using this bus lane for the past 3 weeks and only today have I received a fine (16th July) for an offence on the 23rd June. I am in no doubt that I will now start to receive many more PCN's for using the bus lane up until yesterday when I received my first PCN.

Firstly are there any grounds for me to appeal on the bases of having to change my route because of the heavy road works on my usual route.
Secondly The two fines I have received so far are actually addressed to the wrong address. I only received them because the postman recognised my name, therefore should I tell the postman to return the others that i'm expecting to sender as the address they put on the letter doesn't actually exist.

As you have received Penalty Charge Notices your better posting on Pepipoo - have a read of a few posts first before posting so you can see what info you need to provide when you do post yourself - I believe they'll need to see redacted copies of both sides of both PCN's

Pepipoo will confirm, but I think incorrect details on a PCN is fatal for it's validity. (Unless of course those incorrect details are because you haven't ensured DVLA have the correct details).

My son made the same mistake and got multiple tickets he wrote to the Council and they cancelled all but one of them.
