The title says it all, while there will be very few people still on XP, there are some., Actually reports say up to 180 Million so quite a lot of potential Zombie PC's for a Botnet..
Microsoft ceased updates to the Security Essentials AV suite yesterday (15th July 2015), while there have been no XP security patches for 18 months many people may have relied on keeping the AV up to date as a means to avoid malware.
If you run XP and Security Essentials you really need to think when you will move to Windows 7,8 or preferably 10, even chagning to another AV vendor will only be a short term measure. AV Alond is only half the story in protecting PC's.

Yep, all remaining XP machines on our network that have not been migrated were disabled yesterday in line with Government instructions for government IT systems.
Now the screaming from the users start even though they were aware it was coming and studiously ignored any emails and contact attempts for the last 6 months. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

KB3067903 is for Win 7...
KB3065822 only affects Windows Explorer users, not XP users per se.
