Is this allowed?!?! Employer using my name/email.

HI all,
Just a quick (albeit slightly random) question for you all, hoping someone may be able to advise!
I was recently dismissed by my employer (currently going through unfair dismissal procedures - now at Early Conciliation stage - long story for another thread!).
Anyway, I was dismissed on 17/06/2015 and ever since then, other employees in the office have been sending emails out from my account and even in my name with my previous signature, as if I hadn't even left!
Can they legally do this, and if not - what law are they breaking?!
Bearing in mind these emails can go to external employees I used to liaise with to customers of brands that we dealt with as well, so obviously I want to ensure what 'I'm' saying is not affecting me in any way...
I know this as one of the people receiving the emails has kept in contact with me since and shown me a few of the emails sent, but I'm not happy with them doing this.
Odd question, hope someone may know?!

I would think it could be a breach of the DPA, so your best bet may be to contact the Information Commisioner's Office and ask them if it is and how they would advise that you handle it.

If it's company email I always believed (perhaps incorrectly) that it belongs to the company and it's up to them what they do with it.0

I think you may be half right, nothing he can do about the e-mail being used but using his name at the bottom of the e-mails and saying e-mails are from him is another matter.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
I would double check with ICO. But as previous threads the email will belong to the company, but using your signature????
Sounds strange, do not know why they would want to? If they consider that you are to be dismissed then surely they would not want customers, clients or suppliers to still think that they are dealing with you?Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -
In my experience, it is standard practice for an email account to be closed once an employee has left the company. Sometimes there is a standard reply for a few weeks saying that x no longer works there and that all queries should be addressed to y.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Because certain clients have built up a rapport with certain members of staff & as a result are more likely to take business elsewhere if said person is no longer working there?Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -
I'd be surprised if they're allowed to sign your name (even electronically) to things you hadn't written. Surely it's basically like forging a signature?0

What do you want the outcome of the unfare dismissal case to be?
Is the fact they are still passing off as you relevent?0
