Help with Outlook Express!!!

I've looked everywhere for solutions for this problem but to no avail, so any help would be really appreciated!
I use outlook express for email and I can receive emails fine and with no problems but 3 days ago i tried to send an email and I got a box pop up asking me to "please enter my user name and password for the server".
My details are already automatically in the boxes and regardless of how many times i press ok or re-enter my details, the same box keeps popping up. If i get fed up and press cancel, the email just won't send.
I've no idea why this keeps doing this and I'm sure it's something incredibly simple but I'm not very techie and could really use some help

Try this:
Open Outlook Express.
At the top, click 'Tools' then 'Accounts.
Highlight your email account then click 'Properties'.
In the window that pops up, click the tab second from the left called 'Servers'.
Down near the bottom it says Outgoing Mail Server, then 'My Server Requires Authentication'. Make sure that there is not a tick in the box next to it. Click apply, then OK.
HTH.
